The following credit courses offer students the option of earning a letter grade or Pass/No Pass: SUBJECT NUMBER CHINESE 001, 003 FRENCH 002, 003 SPANISH 001 Common Course Numbering As required by California Assembly Bill 1111, all California Commu - nity Colleges will be adopting a statewide Common Course Num - ber (CCN) system to streamline transfer and help students make informed course selections aligned with degree completion. The goal of Common Course Numbering is to ensure that students can easily identify courses that meet equivalent transfer requirements across all California Community Colleges. This system will eventu - ally assign common numbers, titles, and descriptions for approxi - mately 75 of the most popular transfer courses. All colleges in the Los Angeles Community College District will be adopting new course numbers and titles for the following courses in Fall 2025 as part of the first phase of the Common Course Num - bering project.
