A law school accred- ited by the American Bar Association will typically require the com - pletion of a bachelor’s degree. However, incorporating this certifi - cate of achievement as one element of undergraduate work sub - stantiates a student’s commitment to and preparation for the rig - ors of law school. Law school admissions officials may consider the certificate of achievement in making their admissions decisions. Course work and the supplemental programming provide stu - dents with information about applying to law school after attain - ing a bachelor’s degree, career options with a law degree, common admissions issues for law school applicants; financial planning for law school, and other related matters. This Certificate of achievement is part of an initiative by the Cal - ifornia State Bar to improve access and success for law school applicants.
