Surgical Technology
The Surgical Technology program prepares students to become skilled surgical technologists by teaching them to assist in surgeries, prepare operating rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure patient safety. Students study surgical techniques, patient safety, and medical terminology through a combination of cognitive, psychomotor, and affective learning. The program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) and prepares graduates to sit for the Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) exam.
