PLW 145 — Biomedical Innovation
Leads students to apply their knowledge and skills to answer questions or solve problems related to the biomedical sciences in a capstone course. Facilitates student design of innovative solutions for the health challenges of the 21st century in areas such as clinical medicine, physiology, biomedical engineering, and public health. Provides the opportunity to work on an independent project with a mentor, or advisor from a university, hospital, physician's office, or health industry provider. Students present their work to an adult audience including representatives from the local business and healthcare community. Lecture: 1 credit (15 contact hours). Laboratory: 3 credits (135 contact hours).
