Focuses on the application of the core components of nursing practice across the lifespan in the areas of the perioperative cycle, deviations in the respiratory system and oxygenation, and threats to the body's immune system. Strengthens the four competencies of practical nursing practice including human flourishing, nursing judgment, professional identity, and spirit of inquiry and Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN). Lecture: 3 credits (45 contact hours). Lab/Clinical: 3 credit (135 contact hours).
