hours (2 lecture/2 lab) The student will describe the theory of heat transfer, forms of matter, refrigerant cycle, and operating principles of certain hardware peculiar to the automotive air conditioning system. The student will apply these fundamentals in testing, repairing, disassembling, and assembling exercises on components of these systems in the automotive laboratory. System conversion from R-12 to R134a also will be covered. Prerequisite(s)
