FSCI 246 - Rope Technician FSCI 246 - Rope Technician Lecture: 3 Lab: 0 This course provides students with the basic knowledge and skills needed to perform rescues using rope systems. The class will cover the use of rope, rope equipment, self-rescue, construction of mechanical advantage systems and high lines, belay and safety systems, and patient packaging. Special consideration will be given to the policies of standard-making agencies such as OSHA, ANSI, NFPA. This course will prepare student to take the Illinois Office of State Fire Marshal exam.
