AS 108 - Automotive Service I AS 108 - Automotive Service I Lecture: 0 Lab: 9.5 Commercial shop application of procedures and techniques learned in subject area courses. Students repair customer vehicles and are required to meet all standards of quality, reliability, and employee values expected of a professional technician. Student tasks are selected in an individualized fashion to compliment and supplement the learning experiences in other automotive classes. The primary focus is on skill development and the accomplishment of those NATEF tasks that are not completed in other classes. Students also learn parts-marketing skills that apply to a retail service business as well as customer relations skills as they rotate through parts room responsibilities. Instructors are available to allow for an individual mentoring style of teaching in these important classes. Graduates point to these shop-based courses as their “competitive edge.” Is course repeatable for credit?
