Culinary Arts Certificate 31 Credit Hours The Culinary Arts Certificate prepares the student to work in various food services establishments. The course provides an introduction to the hospitality industry and em- phasizes hands-on cooking techniques, sanitation and safety, and purchasing and cost control. Students will take the necessary coursework to enable the individual to take State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager' Certification and the State of Illinois BASSET certification.
