MLT 296S — Medical Laboratory Practicum Immunohematology

This supervised practicum is within the medical lab setting and provides laboratory practice in serology and immunohematology. Emphasis is placed on medical lab skills and performance in areas such as the detection and identification of antibodies, the typing of blood, and compatibility testing of blood and blood components. Upon completion, students should be able to perform the screening for and identification of antibodies, compatibility testing, record and manage data and quality control using information systems.
