This course includes the following topics: Emergency Medical Responder and Emergency Medical Technician- National Educational Standards competencies, roles and responsibilities of the AEMT, workforce safety, wellness, public health, communications, documen - tation, medical/legal/ethical considerations, anatomy and physiology, life span development, pathophysiology, patient assessment, critical thinking, airway management, respiratory emergencies, cardiovascular emergencies, acute diabetic emergencies, abdominal and gastrointes - tinal emergencies, urologic emergencies, anaphylactic reactions, and behavioral emergencies.
