SMDI 271 - Projects for Smart Manufacturing and Digital Integration SMDI 271 - Projects for Smart Manufacturing and Digital Integration Students will learn about data collection and what to do with that data, and have hands-on experience with SCADA software. Students will obtain an overview of the various types of data, the fundamentals of the visualization process. Student will examine detailed visualizations workflows that aim to answer technical questions in the smart manufacturing environment. Students will learn both the theoretical foundation and practical skills needed to create insightful industrial dashboards for a wide range of data types. Students will setup, program, and use a PLC controller to manage a robot application. Students will discover how to establish ethernet communication between a PLC and an industrial robot, along with creating, testing, running, and troubleshooting programs and production setup for an automated system.
