EDUC 235 - Introduction to Language and Literacy- Science of Reading I EDUC 235 - Introduction to Language and Literacy- Science of Reading I Introduces the educator to the basic tenets and teaching strategies required for implementing instruction in phonemic awareness, phonics, and foundational writing skills in the elementary classroom. This course requires a minimum of 32 hours of video or in-person observation of literacy instruction and peer teaching practice based on the Science of Reading. Department Chair approval required. Must be taken at home campus. This course may be taught in face-to-face, blended, virtual, and Learn Anywhere formats. MAJOR COURSE LEARNING
