ASEP 142 - GM ASEP Climate Control Systems ASEP 142 - GM ASEP Climate Control Systems Instruction emphasizes the proper use of precision measuring tools and GM-specific equipment for system evaluation and repair. Students study the theory and operation of A/C compressor designs and examine under-dash heating and ventilation systems, applying procedures for inspection, troubleshooting, and component replacement. Throughout the course, students complete required modules in GM’s Center of Learning (service technician online training) and conclude by taking the nationally recognized ASE A7 Heating and Air Conditioning certification exam.
