MUS 3 — HARMONY I

This course is mandatory for music majors and offers an in-depth exploration of diatonic harmony in both major and minor modes. It includes Roman numeral analysis of chords and their voice leading in four voices. Students will engage in composing diatonic melodies and analyzing harmonies found in classical musical compositions. The course also incorporates Musicianship I: sight-singing, keyboard harmony, ear training, and dictation. C-ID: MUS 120.
