ART 53 — BEGINNING LIFE PAINTING

This course is an introduction to painting the human figure. Emphasis is placed on the application of light, color, and palette systems to the figure, and the development of composition within the painting. The course is designed to develop the student's ability to portray the live model in a representational manner using the traditional methods of oil painting.
