AESL 524 — ENGLISH FOR PARENTS OF HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
This AESL course helps intermediate English language learners support their teenager(s) in high school. Emphasis will be on developing oral and written communication skills for interacting with teenagers, counselors, teachers, and other parents. In addition, students will build cultural awareness of the American high school system and different parenting styles. Class activities include participating in role plays and discussions, listening to guest lectures, reading articles, and writing reflection papers. This is a non-credit open-entry/open-exit course.
