TKDR112 — Truck Driver Training II
4.0 HR (OC) Prerequisite: TKDR 111 with a C or better, or department approval. This course is designed to prepare individuals for a career as a commercial driver and leads to a Tractor Trailer Driver Certificate. Students will develop proficiency in operating a vehicle and will apply their understanding of trucking regulations, reporting requirements, map reading and trip planning. Upon successful completion of course work, students will take the Secretary of State Class A Skills Test. The course requires 120 hours of yard work and behind-the-wheel practice. Course charges include tuition and truck driver instruction fee. Eight lab hours per week.
