REACT110 — Introduction to Refrigeration
4.0 HR. (OC) This course studies the fundamentals of the refrigeration system. Emphasis is on operation of the compressor, condenser, evaporator, metering device, brazing refrigerant lines, system installation techniques, and refrigerant evacuation, recovery, and charging techniques. The course is also designed to prepare students to take the Environmental Protection Agency Exams (EPA-608). Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
