PHYS211 — Engr Physics: Mechanics

4.0 HR. (TC) Prerequisite: PHYS 110 or high school physics; MATH 222 and credit or concurrent enrollment in MATH 223. This course is a study of mechanics for students majoring in engineering, mathematics, physics, or chemistry. Topics will include Newton's laws; linear and rotational kinematics, dynamics, and momentum; systems of particles; work and energy, harmonic motion and waves. Three lecture and three laboratory hours per week.
