1.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: Department approval. This course is designed to prepare the student to identify key elements of the electrocardiogram in order to interpret and recognize patterns of dysrhythmias. Basic anatomy and physiology of the cardiac system and cardioelectrophysiology are presented. Skills align with American Heart Association guidelines. This course will certify the student in Advanced Cardiac Life Support. One-half lecture and one and one-half laboratory hours per week.
