EMS122 — EMT-2
4.0 HR (OC) Prerequisite: EMS 121 with a C or better. This course is the second of two designed to prepare students to care for the victims of medical and traumatic emergencies, with an emphasis on the assessment of victims of illness and injury and application of proper emergency care procedures. The course will focus on specific trauma and medical conditions, special patient populations including pediatric, geriatric, and pregnant patients, as well as ambulance operations, mass casualty incidents, and incident management. It may be repeated two times for credit. Three lecture and three lab hours per week.
