EMS121 — EMT-1
4.0 HR (OC) Prerequisite: Placement into ENGL 095 or higher. This course is the first of two designed to prepare students to care for the victims of medical and traumatic emergencies, with an emphasis on the assessment of victims of illness and injury and application of proper emergency care procedures. The course will focus on anatomy and physiology, patient assessment, airway management, and pharmacology. It may be repeated two times for credit. Three lecture and three lab hours per week.
