DMS201 — Ultrasound Physic/Instrumentat

3.0 HR. (OC) Prerequisite: Department approval. This course is a continuation of Ultrasound Physics and Instrumentation I. It provides an in-depth explanation of ultrasound physics as it relates to real-time imaging and instrumentation and it examines pulse-echo instrumentation including harmonics, image artifacts, and color flow imaging with Doppler instrumentation. Hemodynamic influences on sound reaction and the bioeffects and safety in ultrasound imaging are presented. It concludes with quality assurance applied to Ultrasound. Three lecture hours per week.
