4.0 HR. (TC) Prerequisite: Approved reading placement score, or equivalent. The course introduces the student to the foundations and applications of evolution, cellular and molecular biology, the structure and function of organisms, genetics and heredity, the study of animal behavior, and ecology with emphasis on biodiversity and human impacts. Three lecture and two laboratory hours per week. (L1 900L)
