PHY3233 — Geophysics
This course introduces the basic theory of geophysical instrumentation, data collection and reduction, and interpretation. The basic laws of physics are applied to study the internal characteristics of the earth such as geomagnetism, paleomagnetism, geogravity, earth tides, elastic waves, earthquake processes, and radioactivity. Prerequisite: PHY 3083.
