HPE4113 — Practicum for Teaching School Health Education
This course supports the components of the Health, Education, and Social Sustainability Conceptual Frame-work. It is designed to help student teachers enhance their skills and knowledge to analyze and implement effective teaching methods within the student-teaching experience. Students will also facilitate the transition from student teacher to professional by encouraging participation in professional activities (i.e., professional conferences, in-service meetings, etc.). Course requirements such as mock interviews and the development of professional portfolios will prepare students to pursue employment. This required course meets one or more of the standards for accreditation (CAPE) and program approval as stated on the course syllabus. Students completing this course will be prepared to meet the competencies associated with the licensure standards addressed in this course. Prerequisite: HPE 4183 Methods of Teaching Healthy Decisions I and HPE 4193 Methods of Teaching Healthy Decisions II
