A study of Local Area Network Standards and an implementation of a LAN. Topics covered include: LAN topologies, transmission media, access methods, OSI layer implementations, NOS installation, management, print servers, and network management software. Prerequisites: CSC 3443 – Computer Organization or consent of program.
