Bioscience Technology Post-Graduate Certificate
A one-year Post-Graduate Certificate for university BSc graduates seeking extensive hands-on bioscience laboratory experience. Practical and applied courses complement prior theoretical science training, covering cell culturing, molecular biology, analytical techniques, industrial processes, and advanced biochemistry. Students complete an independent research project and on-the-job training placement. Closely linked to the bioscience industry on PEI and the Maritime Provinces. The program holds TAC national accreditation at the technologist level and received the CICan Gold Program Excellence Award in 2020. Graduates pursue careers as biological laboratory technologists, microbiology quality control technologists, food bacteriological technicians, and related roles.
Prerequisites: Bachelor of Science in chemistry or biology, or a Master's degree or PhD in a related discipline
