NURS 128 — Admin Procedures II

This course is a continuation of Administrative Procedures in Health Care I, which focuses on meeting the administrative responsibilities of a Medical Assistant in accordance with CAAHEP (Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs) curriculum requirements. Within this course the student will gain the knowledge, skills, and behaviors needed for the performance of entry-level administrative duties commonly found within the medical office. Instruction will focus on effective communication in the medical office, legal and ethical implications in the health care setting, managing a medical office, and building a resume and cover letter. Current technology will be utilized to master course standards.
