HIST 242 — History Of England
Examines the economic, social, intellectual, and political development of the United Kingdom, from 1603 to the present, with emphasis placed on social and economic changes and the evolution of the parliamentary system. In addition, attention is directed to Britain's rise and decline as a world power and the development of the Empire-Commonwealth.
