CJS 210 — Criminal Procedure
introduces students to the rules and procedures that govern the pretrial processing of criminal suspects and the conduct of criminal trials. This course emphasizes Constitutional foundation of criminal procedure and the balance between rights and liberties. This course outlines rules regulating pretrial evidence acquisition by government officials in criminal matters. Discussion in- cludes many issues relevant to Constitutional safeguards, as well as the cases reflecting current trends in criminal procedure.
