PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT (PTA-AS) AREA OF CONCENTRATION: Upon successful completion of the prescribed course of study and clinical practice, this program prepares students to become Physical Therapist Assistants. Graduates wishing to be employed in Florida are required, under Chapter 486, Physical Therapy Practice, to be licensed. Graduates are eligible to take the national Physical Therapist Assistant licensing examination and the Florida laws and rules examination.
