SPAN 120 — Spanish I
An introductory course to the Spanish language and the cultures of its speakers. This course is designed for students with very little or no knowledge of Spanish. The purpose of the course is to facilitate the practical application of the language in everyday oral and written communication at the beginning novice level. Since the focus will be on basic communication skills, the class will be conducted in Spanish, as much as possible. While becoming familiar with the Spanish speaking world, students will learn structures that will enable them to communicate in Spanish in everyday contexts.
