HUM 160 — Humanities of the Future

3 credits · 3 hours

An integrated approach to the possible culture humans may create in the future. Beginning with an analysis of past and contemporary trends in literature, music, religion, painting and/or architecture, an attempt will be made to project these trends into the future. Emphasis will be on methods of projection using science fiction (writing and/or film) as well as the prophecies of scientists, artists, sociologists, and political scientists.
