DANC 208B — Dance Improvisation II
This course allows students to continue studying the art and practice of improvisational dance. Students learn how to make more complex movement choices and increasingly layered movement compositions in the moment. Students are guided through both solo improvisations and collaborative group experiences. Students learn to create and lead scores, or improvisational parameters, for peers. Specific exercises enable students to process theories of live composition, as well as the elements of dance: space, time, and energy. In this course, students enjoy the joy of movement and enter into a free environment in which one can explore the unique and creative language possibilities of physical expression. (CSU)
