This course builds on the theories and exercises of Joseph H. Pilates introduced in Pilates I . This course includes advanced-beginning mat exercises to improve body alignment, strength, flexibility, control, coordination, and breathing. Students will learn about injury prevention and identify imbalance brought on by poor posture or injuries. The course covers the principles of physical fitness and the impact on life-long health and wellness. (CSU)
