Automotive Technology
The 2-year Certificate program covers the theory, diagnosis, and repair of the automobile, designed for students seeking to become automotive repair technicians. It also opens doors to employment in heavy equipment, marine, trucking, and aircraft industries with additional training. Lab skills are practiced using modern equipment on late model cars and light trucks. Instructors are ASE and state-licensed; curriculum is NATEF-certified. Graduates take state licensing exams and may earn ASE Certification. HVAC course completers receive EPA Section 609 and Wisconsin HVAC certifications, plus a Hunter Engineering alignment technician certificate.
Prerequisites: Students are required to provide their own safety glasses and shop appropriate attire including closed toed shoes.
