LACT 1103 — Breastfeeding and Lactation I

This course provides instruction in the basic concepts of breastfeeding. Topics include: promotion of breastfeeding practices; prevention and management of risks to breastfeeding; common breastfeeding problems such as engorgement, ore nipple, plugged ducts, and mastitis. Tandem nursing and breastfeeding multiples is also discussed.
