SUR 109 — Introduction to Surgical Equipment, Instrumentation and Supplies
This course provides students with a practical application of the skills to be performed in the scrub role: proper use of surgical equipment, instrumentation, and other surgical supplies associated with the scrub role. Emphasis will be placed on instrumentation and basic operating room procedures. Students are required to demonstrate competence in the areas discussed. Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to participate in surgical procedures in the operating room.
