CDES 120 — F Child Development 3 Units

54 hours lecture per term. This course is designed to study the entire scope of developmental theories addressing physical, intellectual, moral, social and emotional development. Periods of development from prenatal through adolescence are presented in a chronological sequence. Research methodologies are discussed as students are expected to think critically about theory and research. Interaction of heredity, environment and maturation is explored. Students will observe children, evaluate individual differences and analyze characteristics of development using inclusive viewpoints.
