ACRT 153B — Advanced ACR
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the skills and techniques required for automotive collision repair. Students will learn to prepare accurate repair estimates, analyze and repair mechanical components affected by collisions, and work with composite materials used in modern vehicle production. The curriculum covers body panel replacement and adjustment, teaching techniques for removing, replacing, and adjusting vehicle body panels to ensure proper fit. Additionally, students will gain expertise in restoring corrosion protection materials and applying refinish materials for both spot and complete repairs. The course also includes procedures for removing and replacing glass and body trim components. Emphasis is placed on automotive and shop safety practices to ensure a safe working environment. Hands-on training will be provided to give students practical experience in real-world scenarios. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the foundational skills necessary for entry-level positions in the collision repair industry. (A)
