NURS 216 — Mental Health Nursing

This course provides an overview of nursing care for patients experiencing mental health issues and psychiatric disorders. Students will learn to identify the psychosocial needs of patients and implement therapeutic communication skills and coping strategies. The application of the nursing process and Clinical Judgment Model will continue to be emphasized.
