NURS 102 — Home Health Aide
This course is designed to provide knowledge and skills necessary for a home health aide to work as part of the home health care team. The focus is on basic human needs, communications, working with ill persons, eldercare, nutrition, special diets, and home management. In addition to classroom instruction, a supervised field practice in clients’ homes or an adult care home for a total of 40 hours is required. This course meets the requirements of the Department of Health Services for a certification as a Home Health Aide.
