ECE 055 — Supervision: Parent/Staff Relations
In this course, students will learn effective strategies for personnel management and leadership in early care and education settings. It includes legal and ethical responsibilities, supervision techniques, professional development, reflective practices for diverse and inclusive early care and education programs, and practice necessary for working effectively within a children’s program in a supervisory capacity. Emphasis is on parent relations, staff relations, and leadership. Class meets state licensing administration requirements for a director, and meets 3 of the 6 unit administration requirement for the Site Supervisor Permit.
