TI 046A — Vietnamese Simultaneous Interpreting 1 3 Units
This course introduces students to the fundamental skills of Simultaneous Interpreting focusing on the legal requirements of this mode of interpretation. The course emphasizes the practice of decalage, paraphrasing, chuchotage, and shadowing. General and technical vocabulary attainment as well as managing the interpreting encounter are also discussed to help students acquire simultaneous interpreting skills of up to 125 words per minute.
