-Taught in Spanish- A class designed to give the students a general understanding of the historic, social and cultural contributions of Latin-American countries to the world, from pre-Columbian times to the present. The last part of the class will explore the establishment and evolution of different Latinx communities in the U.S. Students will analyze a wide variety of sources such as press articles, historic and literary documents, images, documentaries and movies.(1.1) Fulfills the ECC/IAI General Education/Humanities requirement.
