This course introduces practical and theoretical teaching methods for instructing English Language Learners (ELLs) by offering opportunities for planning, teaching, and assessing appropriate language lessons regarding reading, writing, listening, and speaking. This course focuses on exploring the different models and instructional frameworks used in bilingual, dual-language, and ESL classrooms as well as investigations into current research on federally-funded programs, mandates, and teacher certifications.
