EDN 201 — Intro to Cross-Cultural Educ. (3) (3,0)

Course explores how schooling is shaped by the social context in which it occurs. Students will examine aspects of their own cultural identity and biases. Students will describe aspects of learner diversity (e.g. race and ethnicity, socioeconomic status, physical and neurodiversity, Multilingual Learners (linguistic diversity), sexual orientation, gender identity, religion/spiritual tradition, immigration status) and the assets that each learner brings to the classroom. Students will investigate culturally responsive, equitable practices in multicultural and global contexts. (1.1) Proficiency Credit Not Available Pass/No Credit Not Available.
