This survey of painting, sculpture, architecture, experiential/installation art and digital media from 1300 to the present follows the historical development of the visual arts produced by Western civilizations, focusing on major artistic styles, works of art and monuments. Works are examined as expressions of the ideas, beliefs and practices of artists, cultures and societies. Topics include Italian Renaissance, Impressionism, Cubism and Pop Art.
